Yesterday I uploaded a wallpaper of a Pichu playing with a 2-XL, an old robot toy that I loved playing with as a kid (and still have). I think it came out pretty well. Not quite how I intended originally, but I feel I faked my way through it well enough.

But the real importance here is that I finished it. It just so happens that I started it exactly one year before posting it here. And I had given up on it, too.

I don't remember why, but I decided to post it on the 4th, finished or not. I guess I was just tired of having one more project hanging over me, even if I had told myself I'd never finish it anyway. Maybe I didn't want another "Project Revelation" issue. But in any case, I managed to "finish" it late Thursday night / early Friday morning (kind of like the original sketch).

So a year has passed, I guess. It's hard to believe I drew that a year ago. It doesn't feel like long at all, but I guess a lot has happened since then. Not all of it good, but little of it bad. Overall though, things have been going pretty well, and are always improving. I guess you could say that when you hit the absolute bottom, there's only one way to go from there.

2009 has been the best year since 08, which was the best since 05, which was the best since 03, etc. Let's make 2010 the best of them all.
